Перевод первой серии Друзей
Пересматриваю “Друзей”.
В первой серии Чендлер говорит Россу:
Look, Ross, you gotta understand, between us we haven’t had a relationship that has lasted longer than a Mento.
Интересно, что такое Mento. По всей видимости имеется ввиду конфетки Mentos. Но утверждать на 100% нельзя. Вот и в неофициальном FAQе Ментоса пишут:
According to the book Gen X TV: The Brady Bunch to Melrose Place, the first episode of Friends, Chandler consoles Ross after his wife leaves him. He says of himself and his pal Joey, “Between us, we haven’t had a relationship that’s lasted longer than a Mento.” This is, as of yet, unconfirmed. (Thanks, Rob Owen)
